How to Build a Heart-Centred Brand that Resonates with Your Clients

Inside every element of your brand is an opportunity to communicate and connect to the heart of your ideal audience. 

It’s an opportunity to convey a feeling

Yes, you could just pick things you like the look of and that sound good, or you could strategically architect and curate a brand that really resonates with your ideal client and truly represents the heart of you and your business and the vision you have for your life. 

I believe true brand resonance lies in the union and alignment of your authenticity, your values and your vision. If your brand is authentic, aligned and aspirational, true resonance is yours for the taking.

And resonance is the magic key to magnetising those dreamy, aligned and ideal clients!

So, is your heart-centred brand truly resonant
Does it reflect who you authentically are? 
What you stand for? 
And where you wish to head in the world?


BUT WHAT IS RESONANCE WHEN IT COMES TO BRANDING?

According to Artwork Flow by Bizongo “Brand resonance refers to the emotional and psychological connection that consumers have with a particular brand.”

For me, I see it as the palpable presence of a brand which has spent time and attention seeking clarity and balancing the harmony of: 

  • Who they are

  • Who they serve

  • How

  • & Why

You can feel it, it’s atmospheric and palpable. Brands that nail resonance feel really genuine, alive and unique. They have a presence as much as an aesthetic.

Just like an amazing piece of music, everything’s in perfect harmony, your heart strings are pulled in exactly the right places to make a lasting and meaningful impressions and everything feels really in tune.

These are brands that know exactly what they’re doing and why. But not just on a surface level - they’ve dived deep to where the magic really is.

Take how you serve for example, yes it references the services and products you offer and the processes with which you work with your clients, but dive deeper and it can also refer to the richer layer of the values which guide the way you do all of these things.

This secret sauce could be the thing setting you apart from your competitors and could also be the magnet for those aligned ideal clients you dream of. It’s also most likely to be what makes your business, brand and work feel good for you.


WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

There’s nothing worse than the disheartening feeling of seeing a fresh client enquiry in your inbox, only to open it and discover it’s for a client either wanting everything you do in exchange for literally nothing, or a client that is completely unaligned with what you offer and how/who you intend to serve.

Trust me, I’ve been there! 

As a small business owner running a positive impact brand, my heart is woven into every aspect of what I do and how I serve, and when the Universe shows me I’m magnetising the wrong vibration, it’s always the metaphorical slap in the face I’m NOT looking for.

STEP TWO : Identify your core values & build them into your business & brand


WHAT ARE THE RULES OF YOUR KINGDOM? 👑


Your values will ripple into how you interact with clients and colleagues, they’ll show up in your processes and systems. And they’ll most probably show up in your final outcomes too, so knowing them is another great layer of clarity to weave into your brand so clients can identify whether you’re the person for them or not.

They’ll almost act like a tuning fork attracting and repelling for ultimate harmony.

They’re also an amazing thing to know and understand in your own life. Living out of alignment with your values feels terrible (trust me!) and can have some really awful fallout, but actually getting everything aligned is tricky if you don’t know what you’re aligning to!

STEP THREE : Crafting a Brand Vision that inspires!

Something made you swim upstream, take a chance on yourself and dive in the deep end. It probably wasn’t an urge for more security, better health insurance and a solid pension fund!

Do you remember what it was? Was there a big hairy audacious goal? A vision so magnetic for you you took the leap of faith?

You’re the captain of this ship but do you really know where you’re heading? And when was the last time you checked the compass of your heart to make sure you’re on track to arrive at your desired destination?

This is your opportunity to reset that compass, and uncover goal gold and clarity treasure!

The #1 BEST thing I've learnt about branding is…

A vision born brand, driven by a dream, is the key to resonance and ongoing satisfaction for you as the business owner. Couple that with an authentic brand aligned with your values and you’ve got magic on your hands!

Vision boards, great. Big dreams, great. But what do you do with them? How do you weave them into your business and brand? And where on earth do you start?

My advice? Get clear on the destination (the vision) before you start worrying about the direction of the winds (action steps in between here and there).

It’s almost as if honouring your vision and bringing it to life in your brand holds the space for you to step forward into it. It’s aspirational and inspired.
